Racing-L is not a moderated list; however, list participants are expected to at least try to stay on-topic. Although the listowners prefer not to moderate the list, we do reserve the right to remove or restrict posting privileges of any subscriber. While the listowners will make every attempt to work through moderation issues with individual posters, it is important that they have a mechanism to defend the functioning of the mailing list. To this end, the listowners are empowered to configure software to ban subscription by or auto-reject all articles from any poster who is perceived as attacking the functioning of the list. This is an extreme step, and shall only be taken under the following exceptional circumstances: * When there is clear
evidence that a spew, flood, mailbombing or other such attack is occurring.
In this case, action shall be taken as quickly as possible to eliminate
the threat to the list. A Few Words About Netiquette and Racing-L * Articles that exceed
the bounds of common courtesy -- e.g., personal attacks against other
posters -- are never acceptable, no matter what the context of the article.
What Not To Do on Racing-L * The focus of Racing-L
is dog racing. Posters campaigning against the sport in any manner are
not welcome and will be removed. |
